DIFFERENTIAL SCANNING CALORIMETRY (DSC) TRAINING COURSES

 

These are run over a two day period at the PerkinElmer Seer Green Laboratories to allow the full coverage of many of the aspects that are found in the day to day operation of these thermal analysis systems

 

There are many topics that can be approached in this diverse subject, in general the following main topics are covered

  • Theory of DSC
  • Calibration and Routine maintenance
  • The effective use of the data handling software
  • Interpretation of results
  • The effects on the results obtained of a change in the scanning rate of the sample
  • The effect of the thermal history of the sample on the results obtained
  • Applications of DSC

 

Other topics will also be discussed in the duration of the course and our product specialists will be delighted to answer any specific queries raised. Participants of the DSC course are invited to bring their own samples which we will attempt to study during the course. This is to allow the demonstration of this technique to be specific to the applications that are of direct relevance to the participants
